The Halesowen Orchestra, founded in 1986, is a flourishing amateur group of about 45 regular players serving Halesowen and the west of Birmingham. We rehearse at Leasowes Community College on Monday nights during term time, and promote three concerts a year performing "with immense talent, dedication, enthusiasm, and marked professionalism" (Christopher Morley writing in the Birmingham Post - November 24 2003). We have a wide and varied repertoire including works by Beethoven, Mozart, Bizet, Haydn, Brahms, Dvorak, Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Ravel.
