The orchestra is open to players of a reasonable standard, regardless of age or previous orchestral experience. If you are enthusiastic about music, you will find that a very warm welcome awaits you. There is no formal audition, although players will need to cope adequately with parts they are asked to practise and perform. As a general indication, given the type of music we tend to play, this means that players should ideally be at least Grade VI standard or equivalent, although this is not a strict minimum requirement.

VACANCIES

In order to maintain a proper balance, we are particularly keen to continue the enlargement of our string section. Please note that at present there are no vacancies for any woodwind or trumpet players. However, such players are still welcome to e-mail us with their details, in case of future vacancies.
